lost 60 pounds so far
You can tell in this picture, I started to wear my wedding
band on my middle finger to keep it from slipping off.  I got
my ring sized down 2 sizes in December 2006 because it was
getting to big for my middle finger.
These are pictures of the progress that I have made.
I still have a ways to go but very proud of what I've
accomplished thus far.  I will keep adding my monthly
photo for the first year plus maybe a few others that
are a little more fun!
I've decided this is going to be my bragging
page and I'm going to add fun pics of myself
when ever I feel like it.
I might as well have fun!!

Where I'm at today.
I want others to know that I can relate to them and
how much being obese can affect them emotionally,
spiritually as well as physically.  Here I am with my
children and looking at these pictures brings tears to
my eyes.  No one wants to be this way let alone be
this way while trying to care for a family.  My kids will
love me no matter what size I am but for me to
love them back and be there for them I wanted to
be stronger and better fit physically, "to keep up with
them."  Plus I'm a big kid myself and want to play with
them, for a long time to come.

When I considered gastric bypass surgery, my first
thought was that I was taking an easy way out..
After a year of visits to my doctor, my counselor
and the dietitian, before my surgery, I realized this
was still going to be work and it was not the easy
road.  But for me, it was the tool I needed to get my
life back.   No matter what you have chosen for your
tool.  Please stick with it.  If you are thinking about
any type of weight loss surgery, you are welcome to
join my yahoo group to ask questions and get to
know other people that have used this tool for their
weight loss.

God bless you in your journey.

I've kinda plateaued
so my weight loss is still the
same.
That happens around this
time for some people.
But I'm feeling awesome!
This towel that I am
using is a beach towel.
I used this towel as my
regular bath towel
because it was the
only one to fit all the
way around me.  This
photo was taken in
Feb 2007 showing how
much EXTRA I have in
that towel now.  So it
has retired as my bath
towel since regular
ones fit me now.

It's amazing how the
little things become
such a joy.

Total Lost - 83 pounds
(so far)
This was taken March
21, total lost 83
pounds.  I would still
like to lose 40 more.
I'm sure it will be a lot
slower losing those
last 40.  I weigh 172.
Yipee!  Big difference
than the before pics!
One of my
favorite
"after"
pictures
- I'm having
fun on the
trampoline
with my
kiddos.
See why I
love that
photo.
There is no
way I would
have done
that last
summer.

April 21, total lost 86
pounds.

Woohoo!
For some reason I don't have a
May picture.  I'm guessing
because Natalie's birthday was
the 21st and I was not thinking
of myself that day.  But I have
one of me with Natalie at a
splash park.
I do know that as of May 15th,
I've lost 2 inches from my neck,
13 inches from my waist and
10 inches from my hips!
Yipee!!!!!

I wanted to be 100 lost by the one year
mark but didn't quite make it.  I'm not
sure how long it will take.  As of today,
Feb '08, I've lost 93 pounds. I'm
maintaining really well and even losing a
little here and there.  I will continue to
work on maintaining a healthy weight and
lifestyle.  I feel like a new me.  It is still a
struggle every day to not fall back into
old habits.  But I don't mind restarting
every day as a new me.  This is a weight I
can live with.

Watching what I eat and exercise, we've
heard it all before, but that is how I will
have to live - forever - to keep the weight
off.

I feel good, I can cross my legs, I can
walk the zoo and not feel winded and I
didn't slow anyone down at the
amusement park needing to sit down.

The other day I was talking to my children
ages 5 and 7 about my weight.  I told my
son that I have lost more than he even
weighs.  He don't even remember me
being as big as I was.  That made me
smile and realize going through the
surgery was worth it!

Now I want to lead by example in my
eating and exercise habits.
